Devin Pricing (2026): Free, Pro, Max, Teams and Enterprise Explained

Devin (Agentdex profile), the AI software engineer from Cognition, has five plans: Free at $0, Pro at $20/month, Max at $200/month, Teams from $80/month plus $40 per full seat, and custom Enterprise pricing. Paid plans run on daily and weekly usage quotas, with extra usage billed at API pricing. Here is what each plan includes as of October 24, 2026, taken from Devin's official pricing page and docs, plus how usage billing works and which plan fits which kind of developer.

Key Takeaways

  • Free ($0) gives you a light quota, limited models and unlimited inline edits and Tab completions.
  • Pro ($20/month) adds bigger quotas, frontier models from several labs, Devin Cloud and pay-as-you-go extra usage.
  • Max ($200/month) is for heavy users: a much higher weekly quota and no daily cap.
  • Teams costs $80/month minimum, with full seats at $40/month each and free Flex seats that draw on shared credits.
  • Enterprise is custom and billed in ACUs (Agent Compute Units), with SSO and VPC deployment.
  • The old $500/month Team plan and the Core plan were retired in April 2026.

What each Devin plan includes

Free: $0

The Free plan gives you a light usage quota, access to a limited set of models, and unlimited inline edits and Tab completions in Devin Desktop, the editor formerly called Windsurf. According to Devin's docs, Free also includes access to Devin Review and DeepWiki. It is enough to see how Devin works, but not enough for daily agent work.

Pro: $20/month

Pro is the main plan for individual developers. It includes larger quotas, frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and SpaceXAI, open-source models, and Cognition's own SWE-2 model at no extra cost. You also get Devin Cloud, the autonomous agent that runs on its own machine, plus the Devin CLI and Devin Desktop. Pro supports Slack, Linear and MCP integrations, and the pricing page lists up to 10 concurrent sessions.

Your quota resets on a daily and weekly basis and covers cloud sessions, the CLI and Desktop. When you run out, you can keep working with extra usage billed at API pricing.

Max: $200/month

Max gives you a significantly higher weekly quota and removes the daily cap, so you can run long sessions without waiting for a reset. It suits developers who keep several Devin sessions going most of the day. If you only hit Pro's limits now and then, buying extra usage on Pro is usually cheaper than moving to Max.

Teams: $80/month minimum

Teams has a minimum of $80/month. Full seats cost $40/month each and come with a Pro-equivalent quota plus Devin Desktop. Flex seats are free: those members draw on the team's shared on-demand credits and don't get Desktop. Teams supports up to 200 users and adds centralized billing, an admin dashboard and priority support, with unlimited concurrent sessions.

Enterprise: custom pricing

Enterprise is sold through an order form and billed in ACUs at the rate in your contract. It adds SAML/OIDC single sign-on, VPC deployment and a dedicated account team. You need to talk to Cognition's sales team for a quote.

How Devin usage billing works

Devin's docs describe usage in terms of agent actions plus the time Devin's virtual machine runs. A few details matter for your bill:

  • Sleeping sessions don't use quota. Sessions go to sleep after 30 minutes idle (5 minutes for Lite and API sessions).
  • Windows sessions cost more. The docs say Windows sessions use about 9% more than Linux.
  • On-demand credits roll over. Credits you buy don't expire, and you can set auto-reload and per-session spending limits.
  • ChatGPT plans can cover GPT usage. If you have a ChatGPT Go, Plus or Pro plan, you can use it to pay for GPT model usage in Devin.

Cognition does not publish fixed quota numbers for each plan, so the honest way to size your plan is to start on Pro, watch your usage for a week or two, and then decide whether Max or extra usage fits better.

Paid add-ons: Devin Review, Ask Devin and DeepWiki

When Cognition changed its plans in April 2026, it started charging for three tools that were free before:

  • Devin Review (AI code review): a two-week free trial, then usage-based billing. Reviews on open-source repositories stay free. You can trigger reviews manually, when a PR opens, or on every commit.
  • Ask Devin (questions about your codebase): only Deep Mode is billed by usage.
  • DeepWiki (auto-generated docs for repos): standard generation stays free, and premium modes are paid.

How Devin pricing has changed

Devin launched for teams at $500/month. In April 2025, Cognition added a $20 Core plan with pay-as-you-go ACUs; TechCrunch reported at the time that $20 bought about 9 ACUs at $2.25 each, with one ACU covering roughly 15 minutes of active work. Those figures are historical and no longer apply to self-serve plans.

On April 14, 2026, Cognition retired the Core and Team plans and launched today's Free, Pro, Max and Teams plans. Core users moved to Free. Separately, Windsurf became Devin Desktop on June 2, 2026, so one subscription now covers the editor, the CLI and the cloud agent. See our Windsurf pricing guide for the editor side of that change.

Which Devin plan should you choose?

  • Just curious: Free. Try Devin Desktop and a few small tasks.
  • Solo developer using agents daily: Pro at $20/month, topping up with extra usage when needed.
  • Running agents all day: Max at $200/month, so you are not stopped by a daily cap.
  • Small team: Teams. Give full seats to heavy users and Flex seats to occasional ones.
  • Regulated company: Enterprise for SSO, VPC deployment and contract billing.

Devin pricing vs other AI coding agents

Devin's $20 Pro plan is in line with other mainstream agents. Cursor (Agentdex profile), Claude Code (Agentdex profile) and GitHub Copilot (Agentdex profile) all have paid entry plans in the $8 to $20 range, though each meters usage differently. Open-source agents like Cline (Agentdex profile) cost nothing for the software, and you pay only for model usage. Read AI coding agents compared and Claude Code pricing to compare like for like.

The trade-off with Devin is opacity: quotas are not published as hard numbers, so heavy users have to watch their usage closely. In return you get a cloud agent, a CLI, an editor and code review under one bill.
